We are delighted that our Bella has found its way to Slovakia, where it is serving customers at Café Dias, owned by Panta Rhei. The café is located in Bratislava's Bory Mall shopping center.
The robotic waitress Bella will delight many customers with her cat-like appearance. She also communicates with café visitors, inviting them to place their orders or announcing where she is headed.
"We are proud to be the first in Slovakia, in cooperation with Bettaroe, to come up with this innovation in the world of cafés. Just a few days after we launched Bella at our Bratislava location, we could see that customers were very happy with it. The robot is funny, perceives its surroundings, and can communicate with customers within certain limits, which always brings a smile to their faces. We are delighted with the positive reactions of our clients, especially those from children. Our goal was to bring the latest technology to Café Dias cafés and also a new experience for our customers. We currently have three robots on lease and are considering which of our locations to add this delightful addition to," says café director Alexandra Čarády.
An excellent robotic assistant
Robots in service positions are nothing unusual these days. This is mainly due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which has significantly changed the landscape when it comes to finding employees. "One of the main reasons why we started working on this innovation is the fact that fewer and fewer people are responding to job offers for waiters. We really have a problem filling these vacancies," explained Michal Rajter, CEO of Panta Rhei. According to him, there is no need to worry that the use of robots will have a negative impact on employment in the long term: "The human factor remains a priority in our cafés. Baristas and waiters are still the most important people in our cafés. BellaBot is just their assistant, which will have its place in the restaurant business, but it will not replace the human element."
