The robot keeps the school clean

The desire to do something new – that was the motto of Jan Řepík, managing director of Křižík High School. When the school management was deciding on a supplier for a cleaning robot, references were the top priority. Bettaroe Robotics helps keep shopping centers, hotels, and manufacturing companies in the Czech Republic and Slovakia clean.

The expectation is cleaner spaces

The Pilsen high school has large areas that need to be kept clean at all times. This was both a problem and a necessity that prompted the school to take an interest in robots. Savings on wages also contributed to the decision.

"We had specific requirements for an autonomous robot, namely high-quality cleaning of various hallway surfaces," describes Jan Řepík. The Scrubber 50 robot met these requirements. Among other things, it has more than twenty sensors that allow it to perceive its surroundings, navigate around obstacles, and avoid collisions. The robot automatically returns to its workstation, drains waste water, and refills with clean water. Thanks to a 3-stage filtration system, it saves up to 70% of water.

And how has the introduction of the robot affected other employees or processes? "So far, the cleaning robot has only affected the janitor. However, we have only been using it for a short time, so we can't say if we are doing anything differently. The full implementation of the facility robot took a few days. We had to work with Bettaroe Robotics to solve the problem of cleaning different surfaces, where tiles alternate with smooth floors, etc.," adds Jan Řepík.

It's eco-friendly and trendy!

The Scrubber 50 has been a valuable member of the high school for several months now. What has the school gained from using the robot? "Definitely cleaner hallways. However, we still need to focus more on the cleanliness of large areas. But we communicate everything with the supplier, who does not shy away from problems and tries to solve them, which we appreciate. What surprised me was how robust the robot is. We are not yet able to fully distinguish between the before and after periods, as we have only been using the cleaning assistant for a short time. But we definitely recommend the robot, don't be afraid, it's eco-friendly and IN!" concludes Jan Řepík, the managing director.

But the cooperation does not end there. Thanks to our satisfaction with the robot's trial operation, another Scrubber 50 will be added to the team. During the summer holidays, the cleaning room will undergo structural modifications to serve as their permanent base. Here, they will have access to clean water, waste disposal, and electricity. The robotic cleaners will be responsible for the two longest floors. They will then move to the other floors using an elevator. The latest addition will be the preparation of a scissor lift, which will allow the robots to access the gyms.
